Commemorate the Battle of Paulus Hook August 19th

Join your neighbors and march with fife and drum up Washington Street from the Korean War Memorial to Paulus Hook Park, the site of the 1779 Revolutionary War Battle.

Led by Henry "Light Horse Harry" Lee, a small group of patriots stormed the British-held fort in a pre-dawn attack at what is now the park at the intersection of Grand and Washington Streets.

Hear some history, send your kids out on a scavenger hunt and do some singing followed by a hearty toast to Light Horse Harry at his namesake establishment, the Light Horse Tavern, where proprietors Bill and Ron have offered appetizers for the celebration.
